Project Open Phase 1
Project Open is a groundbreaking community that’s redefining sustainable living. This LIHTC development comprises 112 units and has earned several awards for sustainable design and operation. Project Open Phase 1 kicked off a multi-phase project with ambitious goals to become the first net zero, carbon neutral multi-family development in the state of Utah. This innovative 5-story wood frame on podium parking building sets a new standard for responsible development with it’s all electric design and solar offset. The building includes several rooftop decks to provide outdoor spaces for community connection. Part of the project included an adaptive reuse of a century-old factory by transforming it into unique amenity spaces and artists’ lofts, blending history with modernity. Each subsequent phase has improved upon the goals and design of the original project to bring greater efficiency and provide a template for future multi-family designs.
